Meeting the Team
Once you’re settled, you’ll meet your dental hygienist. They’ll take you back to the treatment area and get you comfortable in the chair. This is also when you’ll meet Dr. Paul Chaiken. He’ll come in, introduce himself, and sit down to talk with you. Not just about your teeth. About you.

Your Exam
After our conversation, we’ll do a thorough examination of your mouth. This includes:
- X-rays: We use digital X-rays that are faster and use less radiation than traditional film. These help us see what’s happening below the surface, between teeth, under existing fillings, and in your jawbone.
- Oral cancer screening: We check your lips, cheeks, tongue, and throat for any concerning signs. This is quick, painless, and potentially life-saving.
